PADI Tec 40 Course

PADI Tec 40 course gives you the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to take further steps in technical diving. It is designed to allow you to dive within the scope of recreational limits and be a bridge from PADI recreational courses to TecRec technical courses. It provides you with an opportunity to experience some of what technical diving has to offer.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

You will learn and practice entry level Tec diving skills, such as twinset use, shutdowns and stage use. It introduces you to Tec diving without having to make the larger commitment (in terms of equipment, time and cost) of the PADI Tec 45 and PADI Tec 50 courses.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY CERTIFICATION?

Learn how to setup a Tec equipment configuration and use enriched air up to 50% O2 to make decompression more conservative. Maximum 40 m depth and 10 minutes deco.

REQUIREMENTS

Advanced Open Water Diver (PADI or equivalent)

Enriched Air Diver (PADI or equivalent)

Deep Diver (PADI or equivalent) or have 10 dives deeper than 30 metres/100 feet

Have a minimum of 30 logged dives, of which at least 10 dives must be on enriched air deeper than 18 metres/60 feet

Obtain a valid diving medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
