The confined sessions and theory of the Open Water course can be started at any dive centre – and then the four Open Water dives may be completed with us. This is a perfect way of doing the fun dives while you are on holiday, and leave the theory at home! This leaves you with more time to dive and maybe gives you time to join one of our other dives or further education courses!
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Upon verification of your progress from your previous instructor, you will complete your open water dives either on our house reef or out on one of the many dives around the Maltese Islands!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY CERTIFICATION?
You will be qualified to dive to 18m depth and be able to dive with a buddy independently.*
(* Maltese diving regulations require at least Advanced Open Water to dive in Malta independent of a dive centre)
Minimum age 15 (those aged 10-14 are eligible for the PADI Junior Open Water Course)
Ability to swim 200m unaided without stopping and float/thread for 10 minutes.
Hire of basic equipment, instructor, land transport to dive sites, PADI certification card, DAN insurance
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
Bring a towel, water, a swimming suit, and a change of dry clothing to change into after diving. Many times we drive to the dive sites, and no wet clothes are allowed in the vehicles.
(This part of the course must be completed with your local dive centre before coming to Malta)
