PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Malta
Your Perfect First Dive Experience!
Our PADI Discover Scuba Diving program offers beginners an exciting yet comfortable introduction to the wonders of diving. Perfect if you’re curious about scuba diving, this half-day experience includes everything from basic dive skills training in shallow water to your first exhilarating open-water dive up to 12 meters (only as deep as you feel comfortable). Discover the incredible underwater life around Malta in a safe, supportive environment.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Introductory Briefing:
Learn the essentials of diving, safety protocols, and basic equipment use under professional guidance. -
Shallow-Water Practice:
First, practice your newly learned scuba skills in confined, shallow water. Develop confidence breathing underwater, managing your equipment, and mastering buoyancy control. -
Open-Water Dive (up to 12 meters):
Next, experience your first guided open-water dive in Malta’s clear waters. We’ll explore vibrant reefs, marine life, and stunning underwater landscapes while going only as deep as you’re comfortable. -
Your Discover Scuba Diving session provides credit towards your PADI Open Water Diver or PADI Scuba Diver certification, if you decide to continue your diving journey!
DURATION
Half-day (approximately 3–4 hours)
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age: 10 years
- No prior diving experience required
- Valid medical statement (if you answer YES to medical questions, bring doctor’s approval)
PRICE INCLUDES
- Professional PADI dive instructor guidance
- Complete scuba equipment rental
- Confined water training dive
- Open water guided dive (max 12 meters)
- Land transport to dive sites
- PADI Discover Scuba Diving certificate upon completion
EXCLUDES
- Diver’s logbook (optional, recommended if continuing diving)
- Personal items: swimwear, towel, and dry clothes for after diving

Take the next step with our Full Day Discover Scuba Diving Experience (including an additional fun dive) or progress directly into the PADI Scuba Diver (2–3 days) or PADI Open Water Diver certification course (3–4 days), giving you a permanent diving qualification.
PLEASE NOTE
After diving you have to leave a minimum of 12 hours before flying, so don’t leave it for your last day. Also, check out the medical questionnaire, if you answer YES to any of the questions, please bring a medical certificate from a doctor saying you can dive with that condition.
