What Is the PADI Tec Deep Instructor Course?

This course combines the instructional philosophies and training goals of the PADI TecRec system into one seamless program.

You’ll learn how to plan, organise, and deliver demanding technical diving courses while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Under the direct mentorship of Chris Heitkemper, you’ll develop practical teaching techniques, classroom management skills, and real-world experience that prepare you to lead complex technical diving programs anywhere in the world.

The course also covers promotion, course logistics, and business considerations—helping you succeed as a professional TecRec educator.

What You Can Teach After Certification

Once certified, you’ll be qualified to independently teach and certify:

This makes you a full PADI Tec Deep Instructor, capable of delivering the complete TecRec diver training sequence.

Course Duration and Schedule

• Duration: 8–9 days

Tec 40, 45 & 50 Instructor Course Prerequisites

• PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) with at least 25 certifications issued

• PADI Deep Diver Instructor

• PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Instructor

• Certified PADI Tec 50 Diver (or equivalent)

• Valid diving medical signed by a physician within 12 months

Tec 40, 45 & 50 Instructor Price and What’s Included

• Includes: Twinset, stages, weights, standard gases (per gas outline), professional instruction, and land transport to dive sites
